Draft for a Revolution
Urban performance
Show designed for a public square ; circus, dance, songs, and texts of a half-dozen authors on the theme of disappearance. Revolutions turn and return. Now that even a coke can be revolutionary : where are you going to find your salvation ?
A dizzying onslaught on your respectability in the heart of the metropolis.
Appeal to the masses : come down. Soldiers, doctors, traders, poets, punks, whores.
The revolution is testing us.
This performance on the theme of inner revolution and the celebration of mortality takes place on and around a square, the public at the center. They will turn on themselves, at least 3 revolutions (360 °) for a giddy jaunt. A pretty mess, very timed, with increasingly short actions from 2 minutes to 15 seconds. Duration : 30 minutes.
There are two teams :
The military maneuver in groups on the ground, around the audience : they are dancers and circus performers, 4-8 people. Circus artists will break away from the group to get on their structures on the periphery of the square. The circus can be : wire, vertical rope, trapeze, chinese pole, etc ...
The revolutionaries are in various windows of houses or buildings around the square. They have something to say, shout, sing about death. They are 5 people, 1 or 2 per window.

Draft for a Revolution was created for "Sirènes et Midi net" in Marseille with "Lieux Publics" in November 2005.
